They foster a belief that obstacles are a normal part of life and that one can manage them and come through them, often being better for having had the experience. Hard times stimulate growth in a way that good times don't.

Facing challenges and navigating one's way through them builds resilience capacity. Knowing that one can overcome obstacles, learn from struggles and benefit from mistakes lays a solid foundation for success in later life. The presence of challenges in one's life often requires working with others or at least drawing support from others to come through them. This is a good thing. Be curious! We are also able to challenge ourselves mentally by reading more, learning new things, taking part in competitions that will test our skills — more of challenging ourselves and less of competing with others. A healthy and active mind will keep us physically well, too!

Fact: It is a challenge for students to save money. Many of us spend it on the latest gadgets, clothes, accessories, books, going out with friends to the movies The list is endless! Money cannot buy us happiness but it can help us rest easier and enjoy life more. Set goals and challenge yourself to save by asking: "Do I really need this?

Good luck with this! Sit in a quiet room and think of a list of things that you have always wanted to do. Write these down and try to achieve one every month or two. Organizations can create clear policies or organizational structure to make expectations for growth clear. They make the requirement clear because they value different experiences.
